How many houses do you deliver to?We currently deliver to 1,000 houses in the Charlottesville, VA area. The current subdivisions are along the 29 North corridor.
When do you perform the deliveries?
The flyers and newspaper are delivered around the week of the 1st and 15th of each month. It usually takes a few days to deliver the flyers, and we have to work around the weather.
Why do you offer a newspaper, and not just flyer delivery?
The newspaper serves many purposes. First, it gives businesses a very low cost option without having to do any printing. Secondly, it gives people a reason to really look at the package. We are hoping that many people will look forward to the interesting facts, stories, games, puzzles and jokes that are provided in the Blocks of Wisdom paper.
Why is the newspaper printed on glossy paper and not regular paper?
We want your ads to make the best impression possible. We looked at many different paper types including various colors, but felt that the best look was achieved using glossy paper. The exact paper we use is an 80# Sterling Gloss. The paper is professionally printed to give the ads a clean, crisp look that people will notice. It is definitely more expensive, but we think the results will speak for themselves.
Who supplies the flyers?
You would be responsible for getting the flyers printed. We can then come and pick them up at your business location in the Waynesboro area.
Do you offer printing services?
We do not currently offer printing service, but may do so in the future.
How are the flyers delivered?
All of the flyers are placed into a special clear plastic bag, and are placed on the ground near the mailbox of the house. The bags are never placed on the mailbox in any way. People will see the bag as they get their mail.
How do I know my flyers were delivered?
The flyer delivery business was started to provide on-going advertising for another business I own. So these flyers represent a significant portion of my advertising effort for that business. In addition, I will be glad to show the receipt of the 1,200 papers that are printed. Finally, I will be happy to email businesses on the days that the flyers are delivered so they can perform a spot check if they would like.
Why are there 1,200 papers printed when you only deliver to 1,000 homes?
The additional 200 papers will be delivered to local businesses for their patrons to read. This provides and additional avenue of exposure for your ads.
What happens if it rains?
Delivery will not take place on any day where the weather could be a factor, including rain, snow or even high winds. We want your flyers to arrive in the best condition possible. We will simply deliver on the next day after an inclement weather day.
Can you put a picture of me in your paper?
Sorry, our paper’s content is reserved for things like trivia, jokes, puzzles, fun facts, etc. We usually don’t put pictures of people in the paper, Maybe if we expand the number of pages in the future ;)
